Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 29, 2026
Short version: your register stays on your phone. We don't collect it, we can't see it, and we don't run a server that could hold it. Backups go only where you send them.
What Tijori stores, and where
Everything you enter is stored only in the app's private storage on your device: pieces, weights, hallmarks, bills, people, sets and photos taken in the app. Other apps can't read that storage.
No account, no server, no tracking
- Tijori doesn't ask for an email, phone number or any sign-up.
- The app has no analytics, advertising or crash-reporting SDK that sends your data to us or to third parties.
- We don't operate any server that receives your register.
Backups
Tijori is deliberately excluded from Android's automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so your register isn't copied into a Google account without you choosing to.
Instead, you can save a backup file yourself from More → Backup & restore. It's a single .zip with your register, your photos, and your name, theme and currency settings. You choose where it goes, using your phone's own file picker: Google Drive, Downloads, a computer, a pen drive. Tijori writes the file there and nowhere else. The file never passes through us.
Backup files aren't encrypted. Anyone who gets hold of one can read the register in it, so keep it somewhere you trust. If you save it to a cloud service, that service's own privacy terms apply to the file. If you never save a backup and you uninstall the app, clear its data or lose your device, the register can't be recovered.
Google Drive backup (optional, Android)
If you turn on Google Drive backup, Tijori asks Google for permission to use its own hidden folder in your Google Drive. That permission is limited to the folder: Tijori can't see or open anything else in your Drive. Once a day, when something has changed, Tijori uploads the same backup file there, directly from your phone to your Google account over an encrypted connection. It keeps the newest five.
- The backups are stored by Google under your account and Google's privacy terms. We never receive them and can't access your Drive.
- The backup files themselves aren't encrypted, so anyone with access to your Google account could download them.
- Tijori remembers which Google account you connected, on your phone only.
- To stop, turn it off in More → Backup & restore. To delete the backups, open Google Drive → Settings → Manage apps → Tijori → Delete hidden app data. To remove Tijori's access entirely, use your Google Account's third-party access page.
Permissions
- Camera (optional): when you tap to photograph a piece, hallmark or bill, Tijori opens your phone's camera, and the photo is saved straight into Tijori's private storage, not your gallery.
- Photos / media (optional): used only when you choose to attach an existing photo, through the system photo picker.
- Biometrics / device credential (optional): used to lock the app. Your fingerprint or face data is handled by Android and never reaches Tijori.
- Files (no permission needed): when you save or restore a backup, Android's file picker gives Tijori access to that one file only.
Internet is used for one thing only: Google Drive backup, and only if you turn it on. Nothing else in the app connects to the network. If a future version fetches public reference data, such as updated safe-harbor figures, it will not send any of your data, and this policy will be updated first.

The calculators on the Tools page run entirely in your browser, and nothing you type into them is sent or saved. Children
Tijori doesn't collect personal information from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Any change affecting where your data goes, such as a backup feature, will be described here before it's released.
